After checking in, we’ll take you upstream to the starting point where you’ll receive your tube, get some brief instructions and begin your lazy river tubing in Asheville, N.C.
Along the way, you can stop to swim, wade and hang out to enjoy all tubing the French Broad River has to offer (we want you to be on your own time, but gates close at 6:30 pm). Your car will be waiting for you once you’ve finished your Asheville River tubing. (Yes, we rock.).
The South (Brevard Road) location is only 12 minutes from downtown Asheville and is located near the North Carolina Arboretum and the Blue Ridge Parkway. This location has an average float time of 2-2.5 hours and offers a lazy river float through the beautiful natural landscape of the French Broad River. You’re only minutes from Bent Creek River Park and Biltmore Park in Asheville.
There are many places to go swimming as well as rock out-croppings to stop, relax, and truly unplug. The South location also offers a riverside picnic area and is a great location for private events and group outings.
During our season, we are open rain or shine, 7 days a week at both locations. If it starts raining during your trip, continue down the river. If it starts thundering or lightning, pull over to the bank and stay in your tube. Generally, storms pass through the mountains quickly. Once the thunder/lightning stops, continue your trip.
REMEMBER we are unable to come and get you off the river once you have started your trip. We post weather updates on our Facebook page, so check often, and call us if you have any questions. If weather or river levels force us to close, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund without penalty!

We LOVE repeat customers, so every third trip is FREE! When you get off the river at Zen Tubing, be sure and grab a Frequent Floater Card and get it stamped. Our cards never expire and you can even pass them on to your friends (you just can’t combine cards). The more the merrier!
You can book this just like a regular reservation- choose your date and time then add the number of Frequent Floater Cards you will be using. Type the two dates that have been stamped on your card- it’s just that easy. Please make sure to bring the cards with you when you check in.
