After exploring Richmond Hill Park and the Montford neighborhood in Asheville, head on over to Zen Tubing for some Asheville, N.C. river tubing. The process is so easy — just park at 608 Riverside Drive and check-in. After checking in, we’ll take you upstream to the starting point where you’ll receive your tube, get some brief instructions and begin your lazy river float.
Along the way, you can stop to swim, wade and hang out to enjoy all the French Broad River in Asheville has to offer (we want you to be on your own time, but gates close at 6:30 pm). Your car will be waiting for you when you’re done tubing the French Broad River.. (Yes, we rock.).

Tubing the French Broad River in the Heart of Asheville
The Midtown/River Arts District location is 3 minutes from downtown Asheville and has an average float time of 3 – 3.5 hours. This urban float trip lets you experience the heart of Asheville from a different view while passing through the vibrant River Arts District (RAD) and Asheville’s Greenway. The float isn’t far from Richmond Hill Park and the Montford neighborhood in Asheville.
While you will pass breweries on the way, we ask that you do not leave your tubes– instead we suggest that you enjoy your float and then visit the local breweries and restaurants once you have completed your time on the river.
-
If it starts raining during your trip, continue down the river. If it starts thundering or lightning, pull over to the bank and stay in your tube. Generally, storms pass through the mountains quickly. Once the thunder/lightning stops, continue your trip.
REMEMBER we are unable to come and get you off the river once you have started your trip. If weather or river levels force us to close, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund without penalty!
