New 2026 Guest Information and Updates
- Arrive 30 minutes early. This allows time to park, check in to get your ticket, and attend the safety talk before your shuttle.
- Your reservation time = your shuttle time. All guests must be fully checked in and ready to go at the time on your reservation.
- Changing facilities: Due to post–Hurricane Helene regulations, we no longer offer dedicated changing rooms. Extra-large porta johns are available; please come river-ready when possible.
- Take-out closes at 4:00 PM. All tubers must be off the river by 4:00 PM.
- Afternoon trips are “float-through.” For trips 1:00 PM or later, stopping time is limited so you can reach take-out by 4:00 PM. For a more relaxed float with stops, book a morning trip.
- Waivers must be signed in advance. Every person in your party must complete their waiver before arrival to avoid delays and missed shuttles.
- Cooler & alcohol policy: Coolers must be 35 quarts or less and weigh 50 lbs or less, close securely, and fit our carriers. Pack out all trash. No bags or loose items allowed. Remember – Float time is about 2 hours depending on rainfall and river flow. Limit alcohol while tubing. For your safety and other, excessive drinking is not permitted on the river. Leave glass and liquor at home, they’re not permitted on the river.
Youth & Supervision
- Age & weight minimums: Guests must be 6 years or older and weigh at least 35 lbs to float.
- Supervision required: All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the trip.
- Stay clipped together: We will provide clips; all guests under 18 must remain clipped to their parent/guardian for the entire float.
- No solo youth floats: Guests under 18 may not float alone or separate from their group.
- One person per tube: Children may not share a tube with an adult. Our tubes are designed for single-person use only.
- Life jackets for kids: All guests under 14 must wear a personal flotation device (life jacket)—we provide them at put-in.
We’re proud to support clean, responsible recreation on the French Broad River. Thank you for doing your part to protect the water, the wildlife, and the experience for future floaters. 🐸💚
