The Asheville Music Festival scene is thriving here in Asheville! There’s nothing better than strolling through Asheville’s downtown streets during festival season. Watching the sun set while listening to live music or seeing local artists selling their work is the ultimate summer experience! Here are a few we think are noteworthy:

Downtown After 5

Downtown After 5 is Asheville’s original street party with local and national bands, food & beverage for purchase, a kid’s area and more. Downtown After 5 is a production of Asheville Downtown Association, a nonprofit organization committed to the preservation and improvement of the central business district. Starting Friday June 21 – September 20, 2019, every 3rd Friday, 5-9pm

Asheville Yoga Festival

Set in the heart of the ancient and mystical Appalachian Mountains, Asheville Yoga Festival will feature over 35 world-class presenters & musicians, and 80+ offerings including yoga, music and outdoor activities. In between classes you will have time to stroll through the Mountain Air Market, home to variety of unique health & wellness vendors and tasty treats.  July 25-28, 2019

Shindig on the Green

Experience the beautiful music and dance traditions of Southern Appalachia! Shindig on the Green features a stage show and informal jam sessions around the park ! Saturdays, July 6- August 31

Biltmore Concert Series

Biltmore Concert Series is a stellar musical experience staged on the South Terrace of the Biltmore House. Each summer line up is different, but the setting never changes. With views of the Blue Ridge and the historic grounds of the Biltmore, this is an experience you won’t want to miss!

The 2019 concert line-up includes: The Beach Boys, The B52’s, Chicago, The O’Jays and Kool & The Gang, The Charlie Daniels Band and The Marshall Tucker Band, Amy Grant and Steven Curtis Chapman. For more details and tickets, see Biltmore’s Concert Series page.

Leaf Downtown Festival

LEAF Downtown Festival celebrates communities, creativity, diversity, and families in the heart of downtown Asheville! Their mission is to connect cultures & create community through music & arts, and boy do they deliver! It’s an experience not to be missed and represents Asheville’s unique culture. August 2-3, 2019
